Medications for H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu)

October 8 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) issued its most recent updates for health
professionals concerning the ongoing outbreak of
novel 2009 H1N1 influenza A, commonly called "swine
flu." The updates provide the latest information
on H1N1 vaccines and antiviral medications.
The
document includes a chart comparing available types of H1N1
vaccine, a list of vaccine
priority groups, a chart of recommended oseltamivir
(Tamiflu) dosages for pediatric patients, contact information
for the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, and links
to useful web sites.
